Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

"First past the post" is warped democracy

I lively in a constituency with a very strong bias towards one party. My vote will count for nothing unless there is a system of proportional representation like in Germany.

Charmian Bollinger replies: I live in a constituency that has been a safe Conservative seat for decades but at the last election the Labour and LibDem vote combined exceeded that of the Tories. I am now going to go to a site called but no-one here is coordinating tactical voting. At the last election there was no contact whatsoever from either Labour or LibDems.

Mark Scott replies: Great response Charmian. Exactly the right approach. So can we take it that you will be getting engaged and co-ordinating the tactical voting in your constituency?

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
