I'm a British citizen who has recently moved to Canada, didn;t realize an election was coming up and have now found it's too late for me to register. Why, in this age of information technology, it requires over 2 months to register I'll never know. So if there is anyone out there who is planning not to vote could you do me a favour and vote LibDem, in return I guarentee I'll not vote!

Pobman replies: I will not vote conservative in return, and thus our two 'not votes' will cancel each other out... just need somebody to cancel out labour now....

Matthew replies: You'd also have needed your application countersigned by a British citizen, who has known you for at least two years, does not live in the UK, and is not a relative.
I know lots of people who are three out of four. I have a friend who's currently in Germany on a contract assignment, so he might count, but he's in Germany and I'm in Canada. That's silly.
Then, as I just posted to the front page, they'll send you a postal vote at best a week before the election, in time for you to return it a week or so after the votes were counted.
I'd probably have voted Lib Dem too, though without great enthusiasm. They're by far the best of a truly terrible bunch.
