They're not voting because...

Without proportional representation any vote for a party other than the main two is wasted. Voting Conservative is not an option but the Labour Party has proved itself to be no more principled. Both sides supported the war on Iraq and both sides are more than happy to use a vaguely threat of "terror" to curtail human rights. Power corrupts.

Joe replies: The problem with proportional representation is that all the power is in the hands of the third party, ir the Liberal Party.

Tom Sedge replies: The fastest way to change the current first-past-the-post system is for the turnout to collapse to levels that politicians cannot ignore.
Also there is no party that represents my views and I don't believe political parties make an effective form of government.
