They're not voting because...
- I'll be out of the country and voting...
I'll be out of the country and voting by proxy is quite a hassle.

Vince replies: I also need to get the form signed by employer, but ok, it won't take that much effort... it's just more effort than seems worthwhile in a constituency where tories always win by a large margin regardless.

Jimmy Nutmeg replies: why does your employer need to sign? that seems strange to me. if you have a problem with the electoral system, you should vote libdem, who want to change it. if enough people agree with you and also vote libdem, it might happen.

Vince replies: As it happens, my vote would be for lib dem.
I think you're talking about the procedure for people living out of the country, I'm talking about voting whilst I'm on holiday.
Earlier, I even called the number to get the form I have to fill out to register to vote by proxy, but I was put in a queue.

NK replies: Jimmy, Lib Dem only want to change it because they can't win under FPTP and that's quite transparent to anyone with half a clue. I can't remember what they want to change it to, probably to a PR (proportional representation) system eh? where they would benefit so much more from tactical voting and alike.
