They're not voting because...

A single vote makes no difference to the overall outcome, or to the outcome in my local constituency. I have heard constantly the retort "well, if everyone thought like that..., etc" - but whether or not I choose to vote will have no bearing on whether any other person chooses to. I do not try to persuade other people not to vote, they should do as they please but I shall not be voting as there is no point, my vote will not make a difference.

Jeffrey replies: well, you could band together with some of your mates and vote together. yeah, 1 vote out of the thousands in your constituency is really pathetically small. but say 20 votes out of .... yeah alright you don't have a voice.

piersh replies: It might do if you post your intentions on a Website :-). But seriously, unless your is a safe seat you can't say this for sure. Some seats at least in every election are only won by a handful of votes...
