Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

We have a system where my vote will...

We have a system where my vote will be wasted on a party drone who toes the official line and who spouts the approved sophistry when questioned. Characters with honesty and integrity are rare, and as such stand out like..like things that stand out a lot. Until politicians become a more honest bunch, or until the general public starts to prefer an honest man to a smooth liar, I'd rather spend election day stroking the cat or shelling peas. Froth rant gnash.

Azriphale replies: Start voting for the honest man, then. You are part of the general public.

Join your local political party and get them to nominate an honest person, stand as an independant or find a suitable honest person to stand and help them.

This is the worst excuse I have seen so far on this site. Lame, lame, lame.

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
