Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

Democracy is dead. My local MP will ...

Democracy is dead. My local MP will not represent the wishes of his constituents; on the contrary, we are merely being asked to approve his views. None of the parties seem to wish to engage in representation, merely presentation. They tell us what they're going to do; why not ask what we want them to do? I despise them all.

Robert Snell replies: What have you done to ensure that he knows what your wishes are, so that he might act upon them?

Stephen Connell replies: Could not agree more disband all Parties, remove all Whips (now there is a Civil Service Department that [strong]can[/strong] be disbanded!). Shameless Link Hype - .

I however will be voting - save for radical reform it is the only time I get to exercise my personal involvement in the Goverment of this country.

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
