Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

Democracy doesn't work anymore. Just...

Democracy doesn't work anymore. Just look at George Bush as a perfect example. The man can't even read, write or speak properly. If the FBI were really good, he would be on their 10 most wanted list.

Jeffrey replies: Honestly and seriously agree. Democracy, when campaigns are bankrolled by large corporations and large donors, fails miserably. At least a monarch can not be bribed.

Graham replies: That's not entirely fair... Democracy worked pretty well in the US - unfortunately, it seems that just over half of the electorate really wanted George Bush.

If only smart people were allowed to vote... that would be different ;)

SW replies: "unfortunately, it seems that just over half of the electorate really wanted George Bush"

An assumption. There is more than enough evidence of voting fraud on a huge scale in the USA to make the last election null and void. Don't believe that? And I suppose voting fraud didn't happen in this country recently neither?!

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
