Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

Anybody who stands up loudly proclaiming...

Anybody who stands up loudly proclaiming "I know best for ALL of you" is lying. Think about it: what kind of personality would you have to have to do that ?
Exactly the kind of person you wouldn't want in charge of those kind of important decisions.

Anonymous replies: exactly. career politicians must go. the people who are best at making the decisions are also the most reluctant to be put in that position.

Anonymous replies: We're in this boat together. A leader has to make the best decisions for all of us. What's wrong with that?

Why shouldn't people with talent for management manage? The problem is we judge our politicians on soundbytes and the media's portrayal which is effectively manipulated by Labour. The media should take on the role of the 'opposition party' when the real one can't do it's job. Someone inform us better and then we can vote for the best party.

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
