They're not voting because...

My eighteenth birthday isn't for another...

My eighteenth birthday isn't for another three months. Also, the FPTP system means that, as I live in a 'safe' (Labour) constituency, my vote (had I one) would be utterly meaningless. Then again, the FPTP system is what secures Labour's huge majorities, and as I consider them to be the best of a bad lot (that is, better than the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats) I can't really complain about it, I suppose.

We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
