I have very little respect for the public behaviour of politicians of any party. Very little real debate seems to take place and any exposure to their rantings and very predicatable attacks on each other inevitably leavers me feeling very negative and bored.
Their attitude and negative agression is so alien to all my normal day to day dealings with ordinary people that it makes me wonder what drives them to behave in this way. I find the media (espacially the Today programme on Radio 4) just as bad.
All very boring and uninteresting, especially when one lives in a safe seat.
A caveat: I am (fairly) sure that there are many MP's, when not in the glare of the media, are decent hard working public spirited types - but I never seem to come across any...
