Election campaigns are nothing but highly publicised smoke-screens led by an astounding amount of spin. I have never voted but have kept a close eye on politics. It seems to me that no matter which party gains office, hardly any of their promises ever come to fruition. If on the rare occassion do we see an improvement in one of the parties "target areas", it is often the case that behind the scenes and covered under a large dark cloth is another area of society that suffers. After all, in a carefully balanced economy such as ours, how can you increase funding in one area of society without taking that funding from another area? In closing, politicians are overpaid wind bags who dictate our country's policies and practices to benefit their own ideals and ambitions.
