Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

I am not voting because whoever has ...

I am not voting because whoever has been in power, this country has screwed up so many things for me for the past 36 years since I was born here that I no longer value my citizenship and couldn't give a toss what they all get up to. I'll just do my own thing and comply with whatever rules I feel I should to keep me out of prison, to stop some licensed burglar taking away my stuff, and to keep my conscience clear.

Greta replies: I sympathise with your non-voters but perhaps some of them should try living in a non-democratic country where they have no voice and no rights of any kind before condemning their present situation. Speaking as someone living under a dictatorship all I can say is watch out, things could be worse!

Boojam replies: What do you think the country has screwed up for you? Do you mean the state or fellow citizens?

Sorry to be nosy/nitpicking, but am honestly interested.

Tiger43 replies: To poster.....If you no longer value which I assume is you British citizenship after 36 years of what seems to you of been a living hell. Then may I suggest you go somewhere where it isn`t. I think you`ll soon want to come back.

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
