Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

I'm not voting because to do that is...

I'm not voting because to do that is to vote for one faction or other of the same party, the one that supports the continuation of the buying and selling system and production for profit. That's the system that perpetuates poverty, innequality, war, racism and the other ills that prevent humans from exploiting their natural potential to be decent, co-operative, public-spirited beings. The only party I know that stands for the abolition of the wages system, of buying and selling and production for profit is the Socialist Party of Great Britain and, as far as I know, they're only putting up one candidate in this election. That's in the Vauxhall costituency in London. So if I were there I would vote. But I'm not, so no thanks.

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
