I don't understand practical outworking of democratic ideal...I feel that it's better to not vote than to somehow "waste" it, because a) I feel that the person I vote for won't win anyway (and rather than understanding democracy as an expression of many people's opinions, I simply see it as a way for me to get exactly what I want - if I can't get that, what's the point?), and b) none of the politicians, who are human like everyone else, is able to satisfy my incredibly narrow view of what's best for Britain. I probably also am against racism in what I say, but against cultural diversity in my opinions and actions.
