If you value it, vote for it. I don't so I won't.

I do not value sanctimonious, lying, self-serving politicians, nor their support network of civil and local government servants.
I do not value their incompetent management, their wastefulness, nor their self-centered bias.
I do not value their fraudulent policies and claims to help one group with money coerced from another, especially when they then demand the credit and their friends get the service contracts.
Most of all, I do not value their patronizing attitude to the hard working people. We do not need or want you to tell us what to do.
Please go away and take your nanny/police state with you.

AJ replies: I am sure many people agree with you, and those people should go out and deliberately spoil their ballot papers. You are obviously not just lazy or apathetic, and you need to show that you have real reasons to abstain from the election.

Pete replies: Well said! I'm definitely spoiling my ballot paper.

Iain replies: I would love to feel able to spoil my ballot. In fact I used to do just that and I know what Al Franken calls us conscious non-voters. The problem is that any return counts as a vote and I now think the best way to make a point is to help drive the turnout below 50% and so de-legitimise the whole process.
