Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

No Party will pay us what we were promised...

No Party will pay us what we were promised, when the Government happily took our contributions for over 40 years to provide for our old age. They are saving a fortune, by not having to pay for our medical care, at a time when most people are increasingly needing treatment/medication/assistance.
Furthermore, if we return home to visit our children, we are now denied free access to a doctor, despite having worked many hours of unpaid overtime for the NHS and still pay taxes on assets held in UK. It is despicable to class us as "health tourists." I have always understood, that to take money from someone on the understanding that goods or services would be provided in return, and then refuse to do so is fraud. Why would I want to vote for someone who has so little moral fibre?

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
