Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

The election is 9 days before...

The election is 9 days before my 18th Birthday.

Francis Irving replies: Yeah, that happened to me in 1992. I was well pissed off. Well OK, 3 months rather than just 9 days!

joeturner replies: Write to them, friend. Tell them what you think about the issues that matter to you.

Then you will be participating in our democracy in a far more intelligent and constructive way than 90% of people who do vote.

Dan Jones replies: I feel for you, mate.

Like the other respondent the same thing happened to me in '92, also. Except with me it was /two/ days, by birthday being April 11, the election being April 9.

So it seems it happens more than people think...

Tom Cochrane replies: I would rather be (almost) 18 than have a vote.

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
