Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

There is no democracy and no long term...

There is no democracy and no long term view. No one represents my views, only occasionally do 'local issues' get in the way of an MP following the party line; and the party line is about winning another election in 4/5 years not about what is good for the country over 15/30+ years.

I would like to see the Upper Chamber reformed to an elected chamber of non-party affiliated members with an fixed electoral cycle of 10 - 15 years and would be mandated to review the commons' motions and modify legislation for the long term good of the country. Lots of members, so lots of local representation maybe 2 - 3 times the size of the commons; and maybe it could even be located outside of the south-east!

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
