Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

Every party with a good idea also has...

Every party with a good idea also has some appalling ones. Labour have been good for the economy and have made a fair few improvements, but then they blanketed the country with speed cameras, had this barmy notion that ID cards would help anything at all, and have generally nannied us to fit their beliefs. The tories are just hopeless in most senses. The lib dems again have some good ideas, but not very strong ones, being rather "yes, nice, but how?"

Locally it's even worse - all the local candidates do is snipe at one another and play point-scoring games on the letters page of the local paper. There's nothing to choose between them.

At this rate if I do vote, I'll have to go Monster Raving Loony, as they seem the only ones with sensible policies!

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
