They're not voting because...
- Because there's no "none of the above" ..
.. because the ballot paper doesn't include a "non of the above" option. As a valid vote it could be used to bring some honesty into the voting process (OK, that's discounting postal fraud, but I digress) by showing true representation of parties vs. population. At the moment the view is skewed, and don't let anyone tell you that the political parties don't know this. In fact, they depend on it. What if "none of the above" wins by a landslide? Good question - I guess it will at least prompt some new thinking and maybe make it easier to create new parties that actually represent voters instead of having to convince them with expensive marketing campaigns.
