Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

I'm not old enough...

I'm not old enough to vote but please will people considering not voting spoil the paper instead. This gives a message that your not voting out of choice rather than giving out the message that Britain is a lazy apathetic country. Spoiling your paper isn't choosing not to vote, its saying that there is no choice on the ballot that you wish to vote for. Please consider writing none of the above all over your paper rather than sitting at home and becoming another statistic that reflects badly on our country.

Not voting at all shows nothing to anyone.
A huge turnout of 'None of the above' would give Peter Snow and his swing-o-meter something to talk about!

nayan ashra replies: As another under age non-voter, I agree very strongly with this view, it definately sends out the message that politicians need to hear, imagine if more than 10% of ballot papers were spoiled.

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
