Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

Because overseas voters got the shaft...

Because overseas voters got the shaft. Because New Labour are cunts. Because the Conservatives are cunts. Because the Lib Dems won't win until next time.

sans replies: Don't fall in to the trap of believing the newspaper pundits. The future can't be predicted and every vote counts. Just look at America or the unexpected victory of the socialist in spain or all the the by-election victories of the various parties.

Paul Tallowin replies: While what you say is broadly true, I don't think that it is an adequate reason for not voting. The fact that a party will not win the election is not a reason for not voting for them. Any number of MPs helps a party change the country, even if only by a little. If you like what the Liberal Democrats say, vote for them and make sure that they get in next time. I doubt that they will even become the main opposition this time and I'm still voting for them.

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
