Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

It only encourages the political parties...

it only encourages the political parties to continue what they're doing now, which I don't like. If there was a vote AGAINST the parties involved, or a "None of the above" box, I think we all know where the winner would be...

sans replies: Encourages political parties to continue doing what?

Daily Llama replies: Lie, cheat, say anything to get elected, then not follow through with their promises... pursue policies that won't actually help anyone (How much time, effort and money was wasted on fox hunting that could have been better used on schools or hospitals?). Then they have the audacity to vote themselves a pay-rise (Who's going to vote against that?), when half the time they're never in the House of Commons and when they are, they're asleep.

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
