A single vote makes no difference to the overall outcome, or to the outcome in my local constituency. I have heard constantly the retort "well, if everyone thought like that..., etc" - but whether or not I choose to vote will have no bearing on whether any other person chooses to. I do not try to persuade other people not to vote, they should do as they please but I shall not be voting as there is no point, my vote will not make a difference.written 14th Apr 2005
