Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

If the parties grew up and earned some...

If the parties grew up and earned some respect, instead of trying to score points off each other, I'd bother to vote. As it is I think they're all equally a waste of space and, since a spoiled vote is counted the same as no vote, I see no point in actually casting my vote. Grow up, parties, treat the public whom you serve with some respect, LISTEN to what we say for a change and stop trying to bullshit us with the same tired excuses and arse-covering. We've seen it all before and are sick to death of it. We don't want to know what the other party isn't going to do for us, we want to know what you ARE going to do for us. Let's have some positive and open discussions instead of the usual propoganda campaigns and empty promises. I won't hold my breath waiting for such changes, however.

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
