Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

The Party system is fundamentaly flawed...

The Party system is fundamentaly flawed, self-serving and self-perpetuating. I am fed up with party politics and the parties making policy as a best fit for its members. Remember that these members are not elected and that party policy is fixed in most cases by ethics that are out of date and unable change with the times. LAbour has shown that they want huge government with huge legislation and wish to remove our civil liberties. The tories will do the same and the Liberal Democrats can't get in anyway due to their difference in policies compared to the 'big two'.
Democracy only gives us the opportunity to get rid of the existing encumbent, NOT to choose who to govern us. If *actually* you choose to vote, simply always vote out the current administration - Its the only way to stop over legislation and continuity of poor policies.

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
