Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

Personally I don't see the point in ...

Personally I don't see the point in voting. None of the candidates are capable of running the country and at the end of the day; they're only in it for themselves. Only a fool believes that politicians are there for the good of the public, or are there to actually try and make things better for us. Some might see this as a somewhat pessimistic of cynical view but, sit back and really think about it. When has a politician (or body of government) ever actually introduced anything that actually benefited the public as a whole ? Never.

Also, with electoral fraud now so prevalant, and apparently unstoppable, I don't see the point in wasting my time even thinking about the candidate policies; let alone placing a tick in a box. I have better things to do with my time, quite frankly.

A Cynic.

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
