Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

I won't be voting because there isn'...

I won't be voting because there isn't a single party which I trust... I can't choose between them. They're each as bad as the other, and single hardworking people with no kids (of which I am one) simply get ignored by all the parties.

I don't get any benefits or tax credits, I pay through the nose for everything, I can't get council housing so I have to pay high private rents - I can't afford to buy a house because I would have to borrow around 5 times my salary (which is about the average salary for the UK) to afford a 2 bedroom flat.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter who we vote for... the government always gets in.

Anonymous replies: 2 bedroomed flat!! (in my dreams)

I can't even afford a one bed flat. Where I live I'd need at least 9 times my salary to afford a 2 bed flat.

Let's not even talk about houses .....

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
