I may well vote, but I know that my ...

I may well vote, but I know that my vote will not count for much. This is because I do not want to vote for one of the major parties. Because of the comfortable arrangement they call "first past the post" my vote really doesn't count. Why can't we have proportional representation? The liberals got quite cosy with Labour pre-1997 about this. I feel disenfranchised.

We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
