Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

I'm not voting today because I no longer...

I'm not voting today because I no longer live in the UK. Technically, I'm still entitled to apply for a postal vote, but it wouldn't be fair because I won't be there to live with the consequences with the next government. If I was in the UK, I would have a hard time voting, even though I worked for Labour in the last four general elections.

Here in Canada, the misdirection of a few million dollars has put the Canadian Liberal Party in the doghouse and become a national scandal, yet the Blair government has yet to show any sign of paying at the polls for a much greater wrong. There's a big difference between making a controversial, and always difficult, decision to go to war in full knowledge of the facts, and making that decision based on the obfuscated and deceitful information that was provided to parliament.

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
