Screaming Lord Sutch replies: This is the price you pay for living in a developed country. We are no longer an agricultural economy. The manufacturing industry in the UK is also in decline because we are moving from a manufacturing economy to a tertiary economy.

Boojam replies: I'm not an anti-globaliser myself, but anti-globalisation (including the ability of countries to protect their industries) was a very much talked about political issue a few years ago.
