i do not endorse the existence of the state and find it deaming that i am expected to consent to others having power and control over me. i am certainly not ignorant of the powers and systems that govern us and do much in the way of protest, boycots and direct action to overthrow them. struggle against systems of authority is the natural reaction of every individual striving for their freedom. if we all took responsiblity for our own lives and impact on the planet the world would be a much better place.

Boojam replies: If the state didn't exist, there would still be people with control and power over you, and they wouldn't in any way be accountable to you, just the most aggressive and unpleasant individuals clawing their way to the top of the heap. This is what happens in countries without vaguely well-functioning states.

Janet replies: Succinct! Fearmongers would have us believe that there is only a choice between state tyranny and warlord tyranny.Try reading 'Uncommon Sense' by Gregory Samms,an excellent serious/humourous exploration into the application of chaos theory in the social milleu. Also www.mahost.org for a highly readable treatise on true anarchism - not the violent propoganda media version. Love + Peace!
