They're not voting because...
- Democracy not representative
The idea that UK democracy gives representation to the electorate is surely the biggest con in town.
Historically, political power has been held by the ruling classes, the situation is not too different today; the people may be different but the same concept remains.
Of course, it is frustrating to be governed by idiots who decieve and ignore international law, but it is not new. Democracy has not changed this, it has just changed the perception of the plebs, sorry, voters.
So I'm not voting. Instead, I'll watch the campaigns, be entertained, take an interest and end up sickened by the whole charade.written 27th Apr 2005
. replies: yes it is the biggest con in town! but how many people moan about the main parties not representing their views....and then go out and vote for them anyway! can nobody see beyond the propoganda which is served up in the media, there are other parties out there....vote for them and send a shudder through the establishment!written 27th Apr 2005
Tiger43 replies: To the poster......You forgot one thing about the ruling classes. They all interbreed, which as we all know is the reason why the majority of them look and sound so strange, allmost sub human. The fact we are being lead by lanky, goofy toothed sub morons worries me slightly to say the least.written 27th Apr 2005
