Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

I see no point in voting for the lesser...

I see no point in voting for the lesser evil - no party has an entire campaign that I agree with, and I violently oppose at least one aspect of each party policy.
And even if I did vote for the party I least dislike, after I have voted, I have no further say in what happens - there is no guarantee that the government will keep thier promises. I am sick of people acusing me of not being interested in how the country is run - I am very interested, I just don't think that any of the available choices are going to run the country in a productive way, even if they keep thier promises.

Tim Smith replies: Have you looked at every single party manifesto? Every single one? Even the smaller parties like the Greens, the Socialists and UKIP?

If so, and you won't compromise on anything, then I suggest you form your own party - the 'I'm Absolutely Right And Everyone Else Is Wrong Party'. And register as an independent candidate.

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
