Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

New Labour launched an illegal war, ...

New Labour launched an illegal war, the Tories were right behind them, and the Lib Dems were against the war but support the occupation... My Labour candidate is a useful idiot, the Lib Dem candidate a fool, and the Tory a cipher. It would be surprising if I _wanted_ to vote.

mark replies: Illegal war? despite the 4 independant enquiries that proved it not to be illegal?
Populist remarks are all very well but you do have to have a shred of evidence on your side.
I wish I had your candidates, at least they are worthy of mention. I'm going to waste my vote whatever, I live in a Labour stronghold so my vote counts for nothing. I want to vote but for none of the above.

Tim Smith replies: To original poster:

Why not vote for the Green Party? They are against both invasion and occupation of Iraq. They would withdraw British troops from Iraq immediately.

idle replies: There's no such thing as a wasted vote! Reduce the %vote the govt. wins by and/or piss off the politicians by spoiling a ballot. It's not wasted, it's your ONLY opportunity to point out they're all a bunch of liars.

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
