The three major parties have very little in the way of ideological differences. All support neo-liberal economic policies so the range of debate is very limited. The parties which are closest to what I believe in (Respect, Greens) don't have any chance due to the unfair first past the post system which means that power never really changes hands. The same buisnesses buy the ears of all the big three parties, so nothing will fundementally change whoever gets in. And most people are unwilling to vore for small parties because they think they wont get in, increasing the difficulties they face. (I am actually going to vote for Respect, but I'm just making the point that voting under the present system doesnt really change anything.)
