Not Apathetic

Tell the world why you're not voting - don't let your silence go unheard

They're not voting because...

Democracy does not work

The dictatorship (regime) will still get in, whichever of the three guises it takes.
"Democracy creates an aura of moral legitimacy for acts that would otherwise be considered tyranny" - Walter E. Williams
A democratically elected government says: "We sentence in the name of the people - the people carry it out in the name of justice" - The Prisoner
In short, democracy does not work.

Paul replies: You're right. Democracy doesn't work. It's an ideal. Like God. Great idea. Just hasn't worked through out the age of Picses. We are now in the age of Aqarius tho. Many individuals are asking the BIG questions and not getting satisfactory answers. That's our fault tho. We aren't asking the right people. That is, ourselves. We need to take personal respensibility for the state the world is in. Not to inspire feelings of guilt, but to inspire humanity that since we have built ideals like nationalism, democracy, 'evil', God; then we are enpowered to change them to meet our needs today and tomorrow.

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
