Why dont you people just vote third party? If the apathetic voters voted for independant candidates or third parties we'd see a serious shake up of the current two party system. Imagine if we got more independants...

None of the parties deserve my vote. What we need is a 'vote of no confidence' included on the ballot paper, to give us all the power to say that we don't think ANY of the political parties have the ability or ...

The systems rigged so that only the two main parties have a chance. Why should I vote if my vote doesnt make the slightest difference? Bring on proportional representation.

I *AM* voting. If only so I can legitimately complain about the state of the country for the next 4-5 years. Anyone who doesn't vote loses that right.

I'm 18 and just...couldn't care less

I've just turned 18 last year and I know nothing about what parties to vote for and what they stand for. They need to appeal to the youth. Politics really looks like a boring bit of sh**e.

I'm not voting because... I'm idle and more interested in watching hours of celebrity reality TV than engaging in politics. Thankfully this site allows me to be self righteous about my lazy choice.

About Not Apathetic

NotApathetic was built so that people who are planning not to vote in the UK General Election on May 5th can tell the world why. We won't try to persuade you that voting is a good or a bad idea - we're just here to record and share your explanations. Whether ideological, practical or other, any reason will do.

A lot of users would like us to mention that if you spoil your ballot paper, it will be counted. So if you want to record a vote for "none of the above", you can.
